Swimmers are welcome to come to the club for assessment after completion of ASA Level 6 Swim Award, or if they can swim 25 metres of 2 strokes competently.
Assessments are held on the first Saturday of the month at 1 pm, and assessment normally takes up to one hour during the Newburn Nippers Session at Outer West Pool. Your child will need to bring with them: Swimwear, hat, goggles, drink (not fizzy). If you cannot attend on the first Saturday of the Month then contact us through the website or call into the pool when a Nippers session is in progress and speak to a squad representative and we will be able to make alternative arrangements for your swimming assessment.
If your swimmer is accepted into the club, membership forms must be completed, membership and ASA fees paid and a direct debit set up with your bank for your monthly swim fees. A membership pack will be given to all parents/swimmers on joining the club and on payment of the membership fee, swimmers receive a club hat and t-shirt.
More experienced swimmers who wish to join from other clubs, can join the more senior squads following a review of their potential by the Head Coach. You can contact the Head Coach via our "Contact Us" page.
The club currently has a waiting list for the performance squads.
